Geologists walk around the mountains and connect the strata exposed at various points in their notebooks to compile a single columnar map of the entire strata. I photographed the huge strata using a high-altitude tripod, converted them into 3D data by photogrammetry, and then converted them into orthographic projection images. This is a picture of the strata that could only be represented on a columnar map before. In this way, it may be possible to show the geological strata as seen by geologists.

柱状図

地質学者は山中を歩き回り、様々な地点に露出する地層をノート上で繋ぐことで、通常見ることのできない地層の全貌を一つの柱状図に表す。そこで私は、高所用三脚を用いて巨大な地層を撮影し、フォトグラメトリによって３Dデータ化後、正射投影画像に変換することで、今まで柱状図でしか表せなかった地層の姿を写真にした。こうすることで、地質学者の見ている地層の姿を表せるかもしれない。
