Float a Star in the Sky

Many of the stars in the night sky are just reflections of light bouncing off rocks floating in space. However, we attach many meanings to them and call them "stars". Incidentally, a thin section is made by attaching a rock to a prepalat and thinning it to a thickness of a few tens of microns, which allows light to pass through. When these flakes are placed between two polarising plates and observed under a microscope, the light that passes through each mineral reveals colors. I slowly rotated the resulting image and make it floating in the sky. Could this also be a "star"?

星を浮かべる

夜空に浮かぶ星の多くは、宇宙空間に浮かぶ岩石が反射した光を見ているものに過ぎない。しかし、私たちはそれに多くの意味を付し、「星」と呼ぶ。ところで、岩石をプレパラートに貼り付け、光を通す厚み数十μmまで薄くしたものを岩石薄片という。この薄片を偏光板２枚で挟み込み、顕微鏡などで観察すると、各鉱物を通過した光に色が見えるようになる。私は、このようにして得られたイメージをゆっくりと回転させ、空に浮かべた。これも「星」になれるのだろうか。
